"Unique experience! Staff were very friendly, but the facility was a bit dated and probably needed some work (especially for the cost of my accommodation)."

Hotel Okada

4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (784)
"Hotel Okada is slightly further from the Station so recommend arranging Taxi services ahead of time if necessary. Location is an older location but very well maintained. Appreciated the breakfast's buffet variety and available facilities. We were there for a single overnight stay but definitely is worthy of a 2 or 3 night stay to relax. Line for the shuttle can get long with all the hotels that are serviced. Tatami room was definitely spacious and provided ample room for a small family if...

Yumoto Fujiya Hotel

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (930)
"The best quality about this property is its proximity to the Yumoto station, and how easy it is to start the exploration of Hakone. The property also have spa rooms that can be booked, at a discount for hotel guests. It's just very grand-looking, and rooms are spacious. Front desk is very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was a buffet, great selection of Japanese and continental offerings. It was so good! Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to friends."

Hakone Pax Yoshino

4.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (505)
"The exterior looks old but the interior seems to have been renovated and it is in excellent condition including the room we were in. The private onsens are in outstanding condition, the public onsens are great although not as good. The breakfast was excellent with several Japanese and western dishes. The place is close enough to the train station to walk but far enough so that the noise of the town does not bother. "

Hakone Yumoto Hotel

3.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (168)
"The hotel is old and in disrepair but everything works. The food is just adequate but the open bar with beer, sake, wine, shochu helps. The onsen was fine with one large rotemburo outside and three large baths of varying temperatures inside. The service was great though, the staff always greeted you with smiles and were very helpful. It’s a 23 minute walk uphill from the train station or an 800 yen ride by taxi. "
