"My hotel room here had a gorgeous view of the trees and neighboring hotels. I loved having the privacy of an outdoor onsen bath for my room. The dinner buffet offered a wide selection of Japanese and western choices. Would recommend and stay again in the future!"

"Location was excellent Staff were excellent Hotel Food was very good.Shuttle bus made it easy to get to the hotel from the railway station. Unfortunately the room provided (421) was lacking any view other than the local gas station. (Neither lake or garden view)"

"We had a fantastic stay at this property. The location can’t be better: near the main shopping/restaurants in the area and the train station. Happy we stayed here rather than up in Gora, which would have made travel and food more difficult. We got a private bath, which we enjoyed. We also splurged on the kaiseiki meal, which we enjoyed immensely. Breakfast was also very good: more western options than we expected. We had the updated Japanese/Western room and thought it was luxurious. I’ve seen others complain thing were worn and old-fashioned but we didn’t really find that the case. Highly recommended "

"This was a Japanese cultural dream. From the traditional meals to dressing in yukata everything was perfect. Even tho it may be out of the comfort zone of some westerners, I think everyone should stay at a ryokan. It’s truly the most zen experience! We even tried soaking in the onsite onsen. Try it! You won’t regret it! "
