"Amazing hotel combined traditional with modernness. We had a large tatami room with regular beds and a Japanese futon bed. It was large and comfortable. Breakfast was Japanese style which we loved. Our daughter however, can not get past eating rice and fish for breakfast. The hotel is not conveniently located, not easily walkable from the train train station. "I think this ryokan is somewhat overrated on Hotels.com. Specifically, first, it is definitely showing its age. Second, if you have back problems, the accommodation might be uncomfortable, because the seat thing is at floor level. I requested a table and a chair, but they didn’t have a high enough table.
