"Very small rooms but that's OK if you're planing to be out roaming the city most of the day. Very very noisy - we were in a corner room and could hear the doors slamming on either side of us at all hours. Bring your ear plugs! "

"The Gansvoort was fantastic for my stay for a girls shopping weekend. There are fantastic restaurants all around the hotel with great atmosphere and buzz. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable (and have a bathroom door which lots of design hotels seem to not have any more and I don’t want to see my friend go to the toilet!) The staff were very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed it so much I’ve booked to go back in a month with my husband and kids. "

Several channels were blacked out, the guide doesn't work, and being limited to only a handful of channels nowadays when at the room trying to relax and enjoy the evening was disappointing. Also the waiter with dark curly hair the very first night we ate downstairs implied that tap water was not an option, and only still or sparkling water was available.
