Hakone Bettei Koyoi

3.5 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (47)
" Our visit to this onsen in Hakone was brief but unforgettable. The shared onsen facilities were impeccably clean, providing a relaxing experience. Our private in-room onsen was equally delightful, though it required some time to fill. The highlight of our stay was the exquisite multi-course dinner, which showcased the finest flavors of Japanese cuisine."

"The property is a charming ryoken with simple amenities that is nestled in the mountains with beautiful views from the room. We slept comfortably on futons in our traditional tatami rooms. The kaiseki meals were amazing so didn't miss out on that experience. They have a private onsen during the evening that you can reserve and a men's and women's bath available . We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff who spoke English."

Marroad Hakone

3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (278)
"Room was clean and good size. Looks like recently renovated. Very limited meal options and rather expensive for what were offered, for both breakfast and dinner. Not buffet style. Can't be having the same English breakfast and French dinner everyday. Restaurants closes relatively early in Gora. Public transportation not very convenient. Need your own car to move around. Walking to Gora station is an option, but the terrain is hilly. Hotel shuttle service starts from 9am and ends at 6pm....
