"The service was exceptional as were the dinners and breakfasts. The insensitive were are well equipped and relaxing after a day of exploring. The property is a short walk from the rope way. The only reason I didn’t give this property a five star is that is is old and in need of renovations ( peeling linoleum and water (?) stains in the toilet area. "

"What a great stay!! We travelled with our two teenage boys and I wasn’t sure how the hostel would be for us but our quadruple room was amazing. Kids loved the bunk beds. The traditional onsen was fabulous and I used every day. Super close to train/ cable car and the breakfast was very helpful each morning. The review would not be complete without mentioning the amazing staff. They were all so helpful and patient. Went out of their way to help us with dinner recommendations and directions. So...

"We were lucky to have a private outdoor bath assigned from this ryokan. The view from the bath overlooking valley of Hakone mountains was just amazing. We enjoyed taking a bath all time during our stay. The food was omakase style and very delicious. Staffs are very accommodating and pleasant. They give you a free ride to nearby stations, so everything was very smooth. "

"The staff are wonderful and so friendly. The location is a short walk from the Gora station and there’s a lovely coffee shop at the base of the hill the hotel is on.
