"We have stayed at Lago Mar several times, and have found it to be very reliable in terms of cleanliness, attractiveness of rooms and furnishings, and general quality of the property. Recent upgrades make it an even nicer place to stay. Being right on the beach is a wonderful bonus. The hotel is also close to the cruise port, and it's a terrific place to spend a couple of days before a cruise.
