"very charming and a great location - close to the french quarter action but not drowning in it (you can head down the quieter streets if you want a break from the craziness). if you're familiar with french hotels, you'll love it. if you expect an american hotel, you'll probably be confused.(i.e. no elevator, leave your key with the concierge, skinny doors). you can hear the calliope from the steamship on the patio but fortunately not in your room!
