There is a "destination fee" that they didn't mention but blamed me for not reading it written on the envelope the room key came in. Basically 1 bottle of water cost me 47. And the clerk laughed at my complaint. Nice hotel, bottom of the barrel hospitality.

I loved the property but they did not know they were a vip access hotel. Furthermore, and the worst part is I recieved zero help from Expedia regarding this fact. With silver vip access you receive a perk. It was denied by the hotel and Expedia too. Even though the language in the vip access page is clear about different tiers. The hotel made up for it by upgrading our room. I’m not made at them just done with making hotel decisions with Expedia.

Property was nice. Very antique. We had a reservation for only one night. Even though checkout is at 12pm, housekeeping tried to come to clean the room at 8:30am. What was the purpose of disturbing us when they know we’re going to check out in a few hours. Before we checked out we requested the valet to bring out the car to us at 10:44am, they texted back said it will be available in 15 mins. At 11:30am I had to go talk to front desk to find out why it’s taking so long for my car to get delivered. They did nothing except saying it will be arriving soon. No apology, nothing. Very disappointing considering their prices for the hotel along with valet are quite expensive.

Check in process was a bit frustrating, came in to check in at noon , was told to come back at 2pm at 230 they still didn’t have the room ready and told us that check in time is normally at 4pm and not sure why the previous front seat told us to come back at 2pm. So going back and forth three times was not great. Otherwise it was a great hotel and great location. I would highly recommend it.

This hotel is centrally located in the French Quarter between Bourbon and Royal Street, and the staff will always go above and beyond to ensure all of your needs are met. We ended up extending our stay here because of the massive snowstorm that hit New Orleans and our flight being canceled. The staff was friendly, endearing, and accommodating. The beds are very comfortable, and the sweetest staff always cleaned the room. When we visit New Orleans again, this will absolutely be where we stay!!!

The front staff was excellent however, we stepped out for morning coffee and the room service i had spoken to twice and told them not until we check out at noon, still came into our room and threw away $150 worth brand new food we had bought. We know this because I walked in while they were cleaning and I asked why she was there after me telling her two times prior not until noon. This was 11am.

Comfortable beds! Beautiful hotel in the Quarter but away from the noise. Convenient to Jackson Square, Bourbon and Royal Streets. Doormen were helpful with directions and hailing rides. Highly recommend it. Plan to stay there on my next visit.

The hotel is at the heart of French quarter - close to bourbon street. The hotel was clean, staffs were mostly friendly. However, our coffee in the room was not replenished through out the stay, coffee in the lobby was also empty at 9:30 AM. Room could have been more spacious considering the price or a balcony could have been nice. Also as I was stepping on the elevator, an employee confronted me rudely if I had the key-card. I understand that they want to protect against unwanted entries - but that was not nice.

Hotel was great perfect area close to everything. Hidden fees at checkout . The coffee in morning was not good.. which was unfortunate . I do recommend this property for location but that’s about it.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary. It was the perfect location! Everything is walkable or easy access to the street car. The charm of the hotel is unmatchable and the staff is friendly & informative. Our only non 5 star thing is the water takes forever to heat so our showers were just warm. But! It makes sense since the hotel is so old and it was definitely not a deal breaker.

We loved the staff and location . We were on the 6th floor and had let the water run for a long to even receive luke warm water to shower.

Great location. Do not get room 122. It is directly across from the housekeeping room and the door is opened and closed frequently--including at night.
