"There are parts of the hotel that are a little tired and in need of renovation. My room had a faucet that fell off - many paint dings and old materials..... BUT it was spotlessly clean - the staff were wonderful, the place has tons of old school charm (a renovation would need to keep the period character) and the location wonderful. Really enjoyed my stay."

"The staff were excellent and we received great service! I did not like the small room and I find having carpet makes the room cozy, even though it’s dirty, so I missed carpet. I didn’t like the fact that I didn’t have a bathtub and I hated the sink out in the room and not in the bathroom."

"The location is spot on but at times it is evident that the place needs a lot of work. My room card stopped working several times and on one occasion I had to wait at reception for 15 mins before someone was available to assist me. The staff are polite and professional but when you have a doorman and a luggage attendant stood around doing nothing while other guests are trying to be seen at reception it’s a little disappointing. "Recently stayed for my first time in New York and was impressed! My room was very clean, quiet and modern, and the lobby had a very cozy atmosphere and smelled amazing. It was also within walking distance to various restaurants, shopping and transportation. Would recommend and stay again!"
