"It has a roof top pool that's small but has a fantastic view. A few steps up is a popular bar with food with even better views, including at sunset. The staff is incredibly responsive and helpful. A delicious breakfast is included. It is restaurant style, not a buffet, which is nice unless you are in a hurry. They have Direct TV. My room had an ancient looking stone wall that's probably fake but gives an authentic feeling. It had been an office building. When it was converted, about 20 years ago, they found a Spanish cannon from the 17th or 18th centuries, and it is on display. Also they have free coffee and cookies at all times in the lobby."

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the incredible staff, who went above and beyond to make our experience special. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the heart of the historic center, making it easy to explore Cartagena’s charming streets, vibrant plazas, and incredible restaurants on foot. Despite being so centrally located,our room itself was a peaceful oasis, offering an escape from the city’s lively energy. The property is stunning, with a rich history as a former monastery that has been beautifully restored while preserving its colonial charm. Traveling as a family with teenagers and kids, we found the hotel to be both welcoming and accommodating. The rooftop pool was a favorite spot for our children to unwind, while we enjoyed some drinks and views of the city. Every detail, from the comfortable rooms to the delicious breakfast, exceeded our expectations. Santa Catalina Hotel is truly a gem, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Cartagena. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great experience in this incredible city!"

"We had a lovely stay at this property. Eric especially made our stay memorable; he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The property itself is beautiful. Very private and quiet. We booked a Studio Suite and couldn’t have been happier - it was clean and spacious. One thing to note was the hot water in the shower didn’t work sometimes, but not a big deal overall. Maybe this is commonplace for this area from time to time. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend."
