"Stayed for a week and enjoyed our stay. It was quiet, relaxing, within walking distance of stores and dining, and also close to everything we needed. Staff & service here are also wonderful. Easy parking, clean and spacious rooms, and nice thick walls where we could barely notice anyone next to us. Definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Monterey!"

"A few days prior to our arrival, they offered to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom suite with ocean views for an extra $40. We got basically a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in the bungalow section of the hotel with a kitchenette, two balconies, and ocean views. That part was excellent. It feels like about half of the hotel has been renovated and half is in desperate need of renovation. Unfortunately, our suite was in the part that needs reno. "The villa we stayed in was the perfect size. The kitchen had plenty of room to cook, and almost everything we needed. There wasn't any pot holders or sponges to clean up with, but other than that, it was fine. Both the couch and bed were really uncomfortable. My tailbone hurt from watching a movie on the couch, and the bed was a bit too stiff. The jetted tub worked great, but I didn't notice until I was already filling it with water that there was a residue line all around the tub. It...
