"We liked the spa. Walking distance to gojo station. Breakfast was very nice and lots of varieties. Staffs were nice and helpful. It was a great experience to stay in Aranvert hotel."

"Overall this was good value. Rooms are small but well designed. Bed was a decent size with enough room for two pillows side by side (although unfortunately only one pillow is provided). Some people don't understand the concept of being quiet in the sleeping area despite the various signs advising them of it; whilst this isn't the hotel's fault, I think the curtains that separate the rooms serve very little use other than preventing others seeing into the room. In other similar hotels I've seen...

"It's close to Kyoto Station. A lot of restaurants and store around the corner. The room is clean. Breakfast is delicious Japanese style. And the staff are polite.."

"The property is located on a very busy street so with thin walls and windows we struggled to get a good sleep. The sunrise is quite early and the windows don’t have any curtains so bring eye masks. There is an air conditioner in one room, the other room gets very hot. We discovered there were bugs as we woke up with bugs bites, not sure if it were mosquitoes or bed bugs. The beds and pillows are quite hard and only one pillow per bed. No washing machine and the house is quite away from anything....

"Clean, well designed, traditional but new Kyoto machiya. Good opportunity to experience Japanese life. Especially enjoyed the tiny courtyard garden. Only issue was the water pressure which was lacking. Will stay again. "
