"This hotel isn't a far walk from Kyoto Station which was very convenient. A good amount of food options nearby. The staff was very friendly with the breakfast buffet having a good amount of options. I wish there was a self-laundry site but they do offer laundry services."

"We are very happy with the hotel. The room is big enough for 3 adults. The location is the best part. It is one block from the Kyoto train station and so easy to get to. Even though it's close to the big train station, our room was very quiet. We had convenient access to and multiple options for food and shopping. Only improvement is that the lighting in the bathroom sink is dim, not good when putting on makeup. Also no lotion was provided as an amenity, which I had needed as the weather...

"Our room at Aoi Hotel was very spacious, with a balcony the size of some budget hotel rooms and overlooking the Kamo River. The room gets daily cleaning and restocking, but the reception/concierge is not really present (they can be summoned with a phone call from the front desk). Overall, a unique, high-quality hotel in an excellent location."
