Good location However it’s a smoking hotel and the smell is very bad in the corridors Plus, the hotel needs renovation especially in the room furnitures are dirty

Excellent location as we took Hankyu train from Osaka and Kintetsu train to Nara. Karasuma subway entrance was right at front of Hotel. Next door was the Nishijin Museum and downstairs was Starbucks! Staff was so helpful, especially with sending luggage by courier service.

This is in a good location, the building is a bit old it seems. The front desk is courteous but either lie or themselves don't have full information. Do not be fooled by the details page, they don't have parking and they lie about the rates. One day they told me they would cover my parking, abd one day they told me parking is 1000 per night. By checkout, all of this was forgotten and I was asked for 4000 (2000 per night) for parking. Overall, I will suggest to stay away from this place.

A very nice hotel for a family stay. It is very accessible to a subway station. It is also conveniently located near key transport nodes and shopping areas. I'm pleasantly surprised that the hotel is still using an actual room key (the metal and keychain, not the card) that one may safekeep at the conceige. This is a practice not commonly seen today. But then, this is Kyoto!

Convenient location at a modest price
The location is convenient, close to Shijo (main street) and subway. The room is typical for a Japanese business hotel: no extra space but configured so that everything fits. Starbucks on the first floor (open 'til 10:30) is convenient. One problem: the WiFi signal in my room drifted in and out.

Great Service, but hotel condition is concerning
Service was great, staff were helpful, supportive and professional. But the hotel is really aging out, hallway has an old smell, and room carpets condition are just poor. Washroom is designed too small in compare with the room size. Good thing we had Air Refresher in the room, so room always smells fresh. Ok with the hotel condition but should not be paying too much for this hotel due to its conditions.
