"Chose this property because it is pet friendly ($25/night one -time fee). The room is a basic room with lots of toiletries, a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. Based on all of the bumper stickers in the parking lot, this place is where all of the visiting parents of Cal Poly students stay. The hotel is on a street that's full of hotels and places to eat within walking distance. My only complaint is how thin the walls were. I could hear the muffled talking next door and they weren't even...

"We love the area around Avila. It was a little hard to find, but once we realized it was by the store off Bob Jone's Trail, we had no problem. There weren't a lot of amenities like breakfast or an exercise room, but for an inexpensive place to sleep at the coast it was very nice. "

"I love staying here. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Rooms are comfortable and perfect for relaxing at night as well. I would of gave a 5 star, but on 2nd day there i turned heater on in the morning and had a Asthma attack. I have done this b4 here and it was ok. It wasnt till i looked up at ac/heater vent above door that I realized vent was full of dust. Just wish house keeping or maintenance would clean that and fix that issue. Then i would of gave them 6 stars. "
