"We loved the location in town and the pool was lovely. We found the staff got friendlier as the week went on. It was a bit annoying that guests went out early and put towels on the chairs even if they didn’t use them for hours.. we rarely got a chair at the beach or pool. "

"The best part of this hotel was the location! We were so close to the meeting points of many of our activities and the restaurants nearby were less touristy and very tasty. "My stay at this property was fantastic, we had no setbacks. The service was very good, the people very friendly and helpful at all times. We felt very comfortable and happy in this place. "The Tryst impressed me on every level. The property is beautiful. They are still doing some construction, but I did not find it bothersome. The staff are VERY friendly. The food is excellent. The bed was the most comfortable I have had in a hotel. Wonderful place. "

"Booked at the Tropicana for the first time because we stayed next door last year and fell in LOVE with the neighborhood. I knew we would be near the beach and all my favorite restaurants but I didn’t know that this hotel also had its own beach club and restaurant for guests! We were *blessed* with a poolside ground floor room (if you can request a room In the teens you will not be disappointed) that had a super comfy bed and pillows. We met other guests who stay here every year and know the long term staff like they were family. We didn’t have to communicate much with the staff but every time we did they were wonderfully hospitable and kind, going above and beyond every step of the way. My friend was sensitive to the musky smell the humidity cause on the linens in the room, so we kept our air conditioner on the whole stay. Since construction was over, our stay was pretty quiet: from the bathroom ventilation you could hear the service station upstairs, but generally the guests at the poolside were quite quiet and respectful. 10/10 would stay here again!"

"The staff and management are wonderful , ask them question like where’s the laundry mat , staff very knowledgeable, my second stay with them , the property is going thru changes , up keeps new rooms look great . My room was fine , comfortable really didn’t need air conditioning, cool at night fan worked fine , careful coming out of bathroom almost slipped hold on to wall, shower always had hot water . Staff mention David restaurant turkey dinner every second Sunday just serving turkey . The restaurant next had a little bar simple breakfast popular with hotel stayers, staff joking with regular . I hope the up keeps don’t ruin the traditional look , I like the way it is . Clean , staff management friendly treated me like family , wish my Spanish was better .I forgot to mention there was cute safe in room they must of added them , bring hangers or the dollar store properly has . So thanks for making my stay awesome "

"I had a two week stay at this property and it surpassed my expectations. I had a very simple room at a very reasonable rate. Even though the room was basic, it was well maintained, clean and had a perfect little balcony with a distant view of the cathedral. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower, as good as home. This hotel was the perfect location for me...in town but a short walk to the most beautiful beach. The best part of my stay was the kind and friendly five-star staff. Claudia, Daniel and Damaris greeted me with a smile at the front desk every morning and evening. The ladies cleaning my room and the hotel also always greeted me with a smile and a kind word. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
