Pretty much everything you'd want to see in central Hanoi is in walking distance with the hotel facing out directly on to one of the city lakes. Market/night market, shops, bars and restaurants are minutes away whilst the hotel has its own restaurant and rooftop bar. "

"We went to Flamingo during off season. This was during end of February. The place was very impressive but only 2 of the 3 towers were in use. This meant that the infinite pool was not in use as well as some other aspects of the resort The hotel is in a quieter part of town but close enough that you can walk into town.
