"We were a family of 9 adults and every single person in our group talked about how impressed we all were with this hotel. The location, the food, the cleanliness, the amenities, the atmosphere, the decor - almost everything was 5 star. The only thing I would change is the mattress - it was uncomfortable and every time my husband or I moved the whole mattress would wobble. "Solid hotel option! We don’t have kids, but it seemed very family friendly if needed. Beds were comfy, staff was nice. Good location for Monterey and Carmel!"

"Our riim was so beautiful and comfortable. The complimentary wine/cheese in the early evening was an awseome extra touch. The location was perfect for a visit to Monterey. The staff - especially the valets were so helpful. We asked to store our luggage for a few hours and instead they went ahead abd put it in the car for us. Would definitely stay here again. "

"We were a family of 9 adults and every single person in our group talked about how impressed we all were with this hotel. The location, the food, the cleanliness, the amenities, the atmosphere, the decor - almost everything was 5 star. The only thing I would change is the mattress - it was uncomfortable and every time my husband or I moved the whole mattress would wobble. The waitstaff working at the function we attended definitely need more training about how to talk to each other in front of the guests. But that's negligible. I would stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa again and again. It is excellent."
