"Super unique experience off the beaten path to stay in a beautiful Ryokan. Would be great for a value with larger families, but be prepared to understand the busses or get a taxi, not a ton to do in the immediate area. On the other hand, staff was nice, limited but plenty of English with my terrible Japanese. Food was excellent and beautifully plated. Rooms were truly amazing, one of my favorite things on my travels."

"Although the room appeared small for 4 travellers with luggage it was perfectly big enough. The futons were extremely comfortable but wish I had more pillows. The bathroom was large but not necessary with the bathhouse included in the stay! The bathhouse was one of the highlights of my Japan trip.
