"The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The onsen at the hotel was possibly the best of the big onsens in Kinosaki. They provided great amenities and the outdoor space was beautiful with a terrific cold plunge. The room was beautiful and clean. "

"Whenever we return to Kobe from US, we stay here at least a couple of days. We always look forward to the quiet atmosphere, excellent buffet for morning and/or evening, or ala carte (menu is very extensive) restaurant. We love the Onsen, of course! This is one of the main reasons we come back to Kobe Minato Onsen Ren. Staff are always courteous and polite. We are planning to stay again in April this year. Looking forward to it very much!"

"We had such a great stay at this property! It was an easy walk from the train station, and to the main streets as well. Staff was so kind and informative. They provided us with yukatas that kept us very warm while walking around. Staying here also gave us a pass to all the onsens! We also opted for the breakfast option, and it was a beautiful, traditional spread. Loved this hotel and area - what a great experience!"

"Tsukimotoya Ryokan provided a memorable and authentic ryokan experience for our family. Only a few minutes from the main onsen baths (yanagiyu, ichinoyu, goshonoyu, konouyu and jizoyu). The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner were amazing and so delicious. The warm hospitality provided to us felt like we were staying with family instead of at a public ryokan. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended. "

"We had an excellent stay. The only issue is the hotel shuttle from train station to the hotel. You need call the hotel to request a shuttle and had trouble to make international cell phone call. We end up to use a pay phone to call the hotel."

"The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman who tended to us last night. He was very patient and especially helpful to our multiple queries and tried his best to help. We were very grateful for his sincerity in wanting to help. Recommended us to a wonderful place for dinner too which we enjoyed tremendously. The view from our room is fantastic! Thank you for everything! "

"We stayed one night as a quick visit. The hotel is located at the end of the onsen strip. It's a older hotel. Lights are dimmer than the ones in the cities. We like that we get futons and sleep on the floor. Front desk staff speaks limited English, but they try their best to answer our questions. They will use a translator to help us understand if we have questions. They also loan out yukata for us to wear and we can onsen hop to other hotel onsen at no additional charge. "The hotel rooms are spacious,quiet, with very comfortable beds. The service is outstanding as well. The only draw back is there are limited restaurants on Port Island, but they run a shuttle every 20mins for free to Sannomiya station - so really not an isssue. There is a nice convience store at the hotel for drinks, snacks, prepackaged meals, and toiletries. The shuttle also takes you to Shin-Kobe, which is a huge help. They also have a designated bus stop in front of Shin-Kobe, so take advantage of that for the ride to the hotel. I will definitely stay here again in the future."
