"We have been going down to Akumal since the late 90's with owners of like business in the US. In the past we have rented several condos in half moon bay. This is the first time we have rented a large facility. It was perfect for all of us. We had 3 father and sons. So they were able to stay in the same rooms. The 13 bedrooms was perfect. Felipe was a great host. The instructions of getting from the airport to Villa Bellamar was great for the few that had never been to Akumal before....

The location was perfect, Playacar is a nice, safe gated community with lots of amenities like restaurants, little stores and easy beach access to make it very suitable even if you do not have a car. "We stayed for 8 nights and had the best time! The pool was lovely and clean, the beach was very private feeling and we floated and snorkeled in the ocean everyday right there. Jose and Delfina were WONDERFUL! They made us homemade salsa (the best we have ever had!) and guacamole several times, cut us fresh coconuts to drink and eat and were there for anything we needed or to answer any questions we had. We set up massages at the house and several excursions through Akumal Direct and everything...

"We absolutely loved staying here. The back patio with the hammock and the rooftop with the pool were lovely places to hang out. The villa is very spacious, private, and well decorated. The community pool was also nice. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and the roof top grill and were thankful for the bottled water that comes from the refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. The host was very responsive. We enjoyed riding the bikes that are provided as well. My son wants any future guests to please...

"This house made for a great family beach vacation. The location and neighborhood could not be better. The kitchen was well appointed and the house was everything we could have hoped for. We loved jumping off of the dock into the ocean. We even went snorkeling at night. The dive boat (Which the owner recommended and helped us reserve) picked us up right out front.
