"My stay at the Hickshead hotel has been excellent in many respects, especially the helpfulness of the staff and their proactive attitudes. Unfortunately if you have a room facing the carpark not only do you get woken up at silly o'clock by patrons chatting in the carpark but also by the smell of cigarette smoke coming in through the window. Yes I did have to get up and close the window. The Hotel is very convenient, the food is good and as I say the Staff make this place somewhere I will return....

"Went for a Christmas party and stayed over. Meal was very good. Bar prices ok for draught beers and wines but spirits drain the wallet. Disco entertainment kept the dancers happy. The hotel itself though is very tired and needs spending on. Furniture and decor outdated. Rooms strangely arranged in shape. The first room I was incorrectly shown to had a dirty tissue on the floor so poorly cleaned. The host Igor was happy to relocate me to the room I had booked. I wouldn't tell people to stay away...
