"The desk clerk/staff were very pleasant with a very friendly banter right at the get go ~ I loved that! Located within a very short distance of the highway, it was a convenient stopover on my road trip and parking was right outside my door! "We were pleased with the amount of space we had! Everything we needed was in the suite, and beds were very comfortable. There was some built grime in the corners on the floor and the furniture was old and mismatched, but we enjoyed our stay."

"Our first time exploring Cape Breton and we made this our base for a few days. We were expecting it be rustic and it sure was - a real old-style beach cabin. The plumbing had a few issues but it delivered hot water no problem. The kitchen is the front entry so a bit crowded. Still, we had a great stay. "Check in was easy. Room was clean with a great view of the beach. Walls were a little marked up, looked like there may have been a headboard at one point. Table was scratched up. Personally didn’t bother me at all. Newer tap in kitchen sink and bathroom updated. Best coffee I have ever had in any hotel/motel/resort that I have stayed in. I plan to revisit in a month and bring my little dog. Great value for the price. You can’t go wrong staying here."

Good room, nice views, nice staff

"Everyone at the front seat was nice, warm, and approachable. Security was very patient with all the drunk and semi-rude people we saw. I felt bad for them because I felt like they were being slightly mistreated by those guests, and they still just remained calm. The only negative thing was the “eco friendly” shampoo and soap was not filled. We had no body wash. I ended up just using shampoo, so it wasn’t a big deal. Didn’t call room service because it was super late and I didn’t want to wait. We were on the 14th floor city view. Room was bigger than I expect and the view was great! Also one elevator was out and there are only 2 elevators for the upper floors so it took a bit of time to wait for an elevator when it was busy. Overall the stay was great! "
