The views of the the Nijo castle were spectacular and it was a very convenient location to experience highlights of Kyoto by walking or using the public transport. Really friendly and professional staff made our stay special. We also really enjoyed the breakfast and the set dinner, and really looking forward to our next visit."

"We are a family of 4 and we booked 2 rooms. The service was incredible from start to finish. Aya and Rodrigo go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. There was also a young Japanese man, I forgot his name. He was the sweetest person you will ever meet. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The neighborhood is very quiet and a little bit away from the city, but there are places to eat within walking distance. I would stay here again if we ever came back to Kyoto!"

"Bed was comfy, things were clean and it was close to a train station, grocery store, park and restaurants. The bar was closed for the four nights we were there. The room was not cleaned or restocked with coffee or clean cups while we were there as the front desk is only staffed from 3-8pm. The staff was very friendly and polite. "

"This was a highlight of our trip! A truly luxurious experience - it was the best shower of my life and the indoor and outdoor baths were restorative after a week of travel and climbing Mount Inari earlier that day. Lovely interiors and a gorgeous mix of modern and traditional."

"It’s a small hotel walking distance to Nijo station. There’s also a 24 hour ramen place and Kura which is a revolving sushi restaurant that is close to the hotel. "

"I had a pleasant stay at First Cabin Nijojo. The location was excellent for transportation, making it convenient to explore the area. However, it felt somewhat crowded compared to my experience at First Cabin Roppongi in Tokyo, which I personally preferred. Despite this, the overall experience at First Cabin Nijojo was positive. I appreciate the service provided during my stay."
