"Barcelo Beach was amazing! They 5 hotels that. are very close and they have train trolley that takes you to and from. Night time shows are good, food is ok what you’d except in an all inclusive. Would come again in heart beat. "

"Luxury is in the name but I would not consider it a luxury resort. Food was ok, nothing to rave about with exception for the Mongolian restaurant on the Esmeralda property (that was excellent). Spa services/prices were satisfactory however spa is small and simple, not luxurious. The best part was the entertainment staff, there was plenty of activities to do. The worst part is the sand fleas which limited enjoyment of the beach (used deet spray and still got a significant amount of bites). If I...

"The overall size of this location is perfect to escape. Pick a pool, choose the beach, go with your own vibe with an added ability to change it up daily. I didn’t care for the beach vendors, but they aren’t associated with the property. The secret is they don’t go past a certain point, move you beach chair behind that point and you can relax all day. Food was outstanding and plentiful. Service was great. "

"Since it seems large part of visitors are from US, I would say they need to do a lot better job of offering quality viewing for US sports ( Football)"
