Staff was absolutely amazing. They really made up for the age of the resort and lack of updates. One major thing that I disliked about the resort was the reservations and getting into the specialty restaurants. Which is really the only negative reviews we saw before our trip.The app is clunky to start with and then waking up or waiting until midnight to get reservations for days ahead is inconvenient. We stayed for 6 nights and were only able to get 2 dinner reservations. The buffet selections did make up for it as I feel like it was better than some of the restaurant food.

The staff was phenomenal. I did not like the reservation process for dining. The first two nights we could not get a restaurant for dinner, the buffet was fine but we would have preferred trying all the restaurants. The bed was also hard as a rock, very uncomfortable. The staff was the star of our stay. They were always helpful and remembered us.

Some of the staff were friendly, especially the worst staff in restaurants, but quite a few it felt like didn’t want to be bothered with requests. There was no waitstaff around the pool/beach area to bring drinks, as we have experienced with other all-inclusives. The only variety of food was in the buffet restaurant, all other restaurants you needed reservations for, usually 2-3 days in advance even though the restaurant was not full at all, and they only provided the same 5 meal options at each restaurant. The room service was very limited with only deli sandwiches, nachos and salad for entree options. There was fruit and 2 dessert options which got old if you’re staying more than 3 days. The spa was unfortunate as well. We paid $180 for a spa experience pedicure, and the staff did the best she could with what she had but the pedicures were given in conaire foot spas you buy from Walmart. Only one therapist for the two of us so she went back and forth. Also, the polish job was 😬😬 The minibar service was lacking as well. I asked for a refill of Coca-Cola 6 times (they only bring 2 at a time even though I asked for more to save them a trip because that was the only thing we drank from the bar so it didn’t last long). Out of the 6 times throughout our stay that we asked for coca-cola refills, we got them twice so we walked down to the corner store and just bought some. Spent $4300 for 7 days there and we were pretty disappointed.

There was not that many gluten free options the mattress wasn't very comfortable the buffet was better than sitt down dinner and no 24 hour restaurants my girlfriend and I had a early flight so we couldn't get breakfast so if you guys could work on those that would be great

Everything was amazing with the location. Staff was super nice and it wasn’t very busy. The best part was the food and the amazing beach! The only thing I would change is to have more night entertainment options. Overall the best all inclusive resort we’ve been too!

Beautiful beaches. Safe area that we walked to the mini straw market, Margaritaville, and Atlantis on separate occasions and always felt comfortable. We didn’t like the men waiting right at the bottom of the stairs to the RIU beach that didn’t work for RIU trying to sell you everything from Jet Ski rides to coke and weed, these guys stood at the bottom of these stairs all day and it was just allowed. We even had two of them arguing, then one waited for the other to walk onto the public beach right next to the resort (50 yards away) and he ran up and punched him from behind knocking him to the ground. Cleanliness of the rooms wasn’t great. Dust on headboard. Bath tub not clean. Room service/ requests for additional items was very prompt.

Pros: good pool area, nice beach with easy access. Most of the staff is friendly. Good drinks at the bar. Good ocean view from room. Cons: You can only make dinner reservations through the app, and it's virtually impossible to get reservations less than 72 hours out. App is horrible overall. Luckily, we just showed up at the restaurants at dinner time and they were almost always able to seat us. Room was very cold, apparently only A/C, no heat. Housekeeping service is sometimes prompt, sometimes requests were ignored. Some of the food was really good, some was just ok.

There nothing unique about this property. Here are comparisons to Riu in Cancun: 1. Dining is extremely limited, there are 4 reservation require restaurants on-site, but we could not get in any of them. There are many tables empty, but they are not allowing addition at all. In Cancun you can always get in at least 2 out of 4 days. 2. Between 3pm and 6:30pm, there is no food at all, there is a snack bar with some hot dogs and popcorn. In Cancun food always available. 3. The 2 pools are so small, only 1 with swim up bar. 4. The drink is way water down and sugar up, every drink is extremely sweet. 5. The room temperature setting only cold and colder and on or off (manual switch), we had to turn off the AC because it was too cold even for me (I sleep with 67F setting) 6. Most of staff are rude, except for waitress at buffet restaurant, welcome Champagne given to other ethnicities and ignoring us (Asian), we had to ask the lady while she was walking away with some flute on tray. Towel service just grab the towel card and not hand the towel to guest, almost like he is there to collect the card, a slot machine can do better. 7. Only 2 choices of beer, Bahamian larger or light. Only 1 selection of Tequila, understand it a Rum country but no one need 50,000 kinds of Rum and nothing else. 8. Elevator is a battle by itself, super slow and the wait is forever long. 9. Nightlife entertainment is virtually none 10. The walk into the gym is smell like sewage backed up. We will not return!!
