"A great base to visit the snow monkeys. A beautiful and traditional onsen. The breakfast and dinner was served by older ladies that did not necessarily speak English but definitely kept trying to make it an amazing experience each time. The variety of the served food was just overwhelming. So delicious and always something freshly cooked right at your table. An opportunity to stay at traditional Japanese tatami room is a memorable experience. Free pick up from the railway station. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Shiga Sunvalley. Loved the style of the Japanese rooms, it was very clean and the staff were exceptional! Usui and staff helped up with any questions we had, ski rentals, keeping luggage after check out, shuttle bus information. Would stay with them again 10/10"

"We stayed here and were impressed with the service. It is primarily a ski hotel and we needed to transport our baggage down the slope at an early hour...the staff willingly did it by tobaggan. This is a traditional japanese hotel...witg futons and communal bathing area which was fun to experience. Snow monkeys were fun to see."

"We loved this hotel! It was the perfect place to explore the snow monkey park and also experience the local Onsen towns, a must do in Japan. The room was super spacious and cosy, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, adding plenty of extra touches such as warm matcha on arrival and teas and juices for the road when we checked out pre-breakfast.
