The staff were attentive and engaging, taking the time to introduce the dinner menu to us. Chose this place for my children's first ski experience. Just a 30-minute drive to Shiga Kogen where all the ski resorts are. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor onsens. Simply superb for a hot, relaxing soak after a day on the ski slopes. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier.
