Great hotel about a 6 minute walk from Nagano train station. You can hear the trains from the rooms on the side of the hotel facing the tracks, but it is very muffled. Tiny rooms like all Japanese hotels in the affordable range. But very functional, great staff with decent (for Japan) English. My room had a killer massage chair, love the place just for that. Extremely clean, good neighborhood and a great value for the price range.

We needed to walk a distance to find the hotel. The buffet breakfast selections are limited compared to other hotels. The waitress kept walking to and fro around our table and reminded us to hurry up to complete our breakfast.

Chisun Grand Nagano was a great place to stay for our one night in Nagano. The rooms were relatively spacious for Japan hotels and very clean and comfortable. The room even has a massage chair!!! The staff was very helpful with checking in, storing luggage, and shipping luggage to our next stop. The only complaint I’d have about the hotel is the train station is pretty loud and can be heard in the hotel room - but sometimes a lil ambient noise is nice!

It's 6 min from the train station, so convenient. The room is very comfortable, the staff are very helpful. They have free luggage lockers in the lobby. A lot of great restaurants nearby.
