"The place is a little sketchy but worked for a one night stay pinch. I like a firm bed…… this bed was like concrete! Don’t try to use the bathroom for real because you can’t flush the paper. Although if you’re looking for a super cheap getaway, I’d still look elsewhere UNLESS they change their beds. You can always walk to the mall to use those bathrooms so you can actually flush. Room 2 star Team 4 star"

"The property is exactly as advertised. It is a bargain for its location, just 3 blocks from 5th Avenue and from the beach in the very nice and modern Colonia Zazhil-Ha. There are some very nice outdoor spaces, a plunge pool, and the room is well appointed comfortable. There’s a Roku TV, a coffeemaker, refrigerator, hot plate, breakfast bar, AC, even a book shelf with books. when you’re in Playa, you probably won’t spend much time in your room, but it’s nice to have a comfy, affordable option...

"We enjoyed our stay at Grand Royal. The staff was welcoming and the amenities were standard but the beauty of its surroundings made up for the frugal offering."

"It was in a great location. We stayed inside a jungle in a cabin like room. However they need to improve the services and amenities inside the room. It has lack of lighting, one fan at the corner is not sufficient, no paper towel, bin inside the room. There was no shampoo or conditioner other than the body wash. The bed was stinky, not enough hangers. Overall the amenities need to be improved a lot based on the rent they are charging."

"We chose this mainly for location and great value. All inclusive part was nice to have even though we go a lot into the city to enjoy great local restaurants. We had plenty of parking for our rental and the restaurants in the resort had pretty good food whenever we were too tired from snorkeling all day and decided to eat at the resort. Nice coffee shop onsite as well."

"Took until 6pm to check us in no idea why. The room was good but with some major issues that were never fixed. The toilet from upstairs was leaking and the water was dripping onto the towels. The ceiling above the toilet was fairly wet. No idea why the Hotel didn’t think this was a major issue especially conduits a sanitary issue. The buffet restaurant fir dinner is a complete joke. BB Q night was beef burgers. We don’t eat beef. Breakfast was passable. The Italian and Mexican Restaurants were...
