There's a grocery nearby, but not too many restaurants nearby to choose from, unless you walk down the stairs or use the vernacular (using the stairs is actually a good thing) to where all the shops and restaurants are. Close to the Malecon, but those 100 (I counted!) stairs are a bit of a bother so if you have groceries you need a cab. But once you get there you are rewarded with fabulous views."
