"The hotel was great! I booked a last minute room for my mom and we were pleased. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They offer happy hour and free ice cream (really good). The atmosphere is great from the entrance and reflected in the room too. It was super clean and it had a window that opened widely. It also had a turntable in the room! Really enjoyable after long and tired days. It has laundry self service. Definitely I will book again if I travel to Kyoto! "

"A charming Showa-era style hotel with some modern updates. It’s clean, peaceful, and quiet. The communal bath is a nice touch. There’s an affordable parking lot right across the street. The hotel is very close to the Jujo area, which has some of the best Yakiniku I’ve tried— we found a gem called Hayashi Jujo. It’s also just a short Uber or taxi ride from Kyoto Station. Highly recommend!"
