"Rooms shabby in parts. Bathroom very dated. We were celebrating an anniversary and special birthday but all we had was writing on a mirror. This was a disappointment. I also thought I left my watch in the room after checkout. I called to find out. Never heard back from them. They could have at least phoned to say they hadn’t located it. Breakfast felt rushed and was buffet whereas before it was al la carte. Don’t feel it’s 5 stars. It so could be with more attention to detail "

"Room was very big, bath was lovely and bed really comfortable. Staff at the desk were very welcoming and helpful. There was however marks on the bed spread, watermarks and ring marks on the desk and dust in the bathroom. The property is very old and the room was freezing!! We had two heaters so managed to defrost after a few hours. Enjoyed our stay but with a few tweaks it could have been even better!"
