We like this place and enjoy staying here.
You enter and exit via a noisy mall but the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful.
Only minor gripe was that our bed was stripped and then it was some hours before the room was cleaned and tidied. Left us to roam the streets, unexpectedly, between events in the morning and the late afternoon.
The reception staff are great and very helpful.
Really liked our room and the big breakfast buffet on the top floor was very welcome.
staff are very friendly and welcoming , the rooms are fully air conditioned with a fridge for storage of beverages breakfast is a must if staying here fresh coffee and tea and fresh cooked hot breakfast, local area's are easily accessible by walking many restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk
The room was excellent, we upgraded and were very pleased with it.
Dined in Lefel 6 on the Saturday evening, excellent meal.
Breakfast was excellent, and especially if you are Coeliac. There was a separate table with GF breakfast products on, and a separate toaster too.
What we didn’t like was the NCP car park. There were at least 1/2 dozen homeless people? smoking on the stairwell, floor 4/5, which made us feel very uncomfortable. This was reported to reception and also to two ncp representatives, who were at the entrance of the car park as we left.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Had a great deal on a superior room. Loved that we had wine/cider/soft drinks/crisps for free in mini bar. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in at 12- as room was available. Excellent breakfast and again the staff were first class. Our room was at the back of the hotel- so it’s was exceptionally quiet. We didn’t hear a thing. Location great- right in the centre and five minute walk to castle. The half price parking was appreciated- although it was still £17 (but that’s city centre parking for you). Would definitely stay again.
