"A hidden gem of a hotel. Beautiful building, lovely surroundings. My only reason for not giving it a 5 across the board was that there was a private party in one of the function rooms. Not an issue in itself, however I felt the staff were stretched quite thin as a result and the service was quite slow at dinner, to the point that we had to keep trying to find someone to serve, get the bill etc. Other than that, we had a great time and it wouldn’t deter me from coming back "

"Really lovely bed and breakfast host was super helpful and handed us water on arrival. Rooms dated in placesbbut well decorated and super clean Beds comfy a bit noisy when other guests arrived but just squeaky floors rather than loud guests. Bath was broken kids were gutted but would definitely recommend it and we will come back again."

"Genuinely wonderful stay. Hotel refurbished to a high standard. Pool and fitness area absolutely spotless. Restaurant and breakfast both very good. Best of all were the staff, just fantastic service from beginning to end. Not an unhelpful person, not one person who didn’t go out of their way to make our stay a great one. Will definitely be back. "The hotel and the grounds were full of character. The bathroom was incredible. However, the issue was the noise. Needs some serious sound proofing. The room was above reception and was incredibly noisy. Also, the room lacked services considering the price per night. Limited drinks available, and had to ask for bathrobes. "
