"The property is very nice and had no problems with staff. They were very nice and helpful. However, for those looking to access public transportation this hotel is not for you. I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians). "Amazing hotel and perfect location right in the city centre. Room was spacious and comfortable. My back has been aching recently but the mattress in my room was very good and of just right level of stiffness so my back felt rested. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as it had many options and variety. Staff were really friendly and helped me order a taxi to my next destination. Would definitely stay there again. "

"The property is nice and has all required aspects for a family stay with kids with a small kids library shelf near the reception, vending machine and dining hall access throughout. Staff were also very nice and parking was ample and easy. Only regret for this property was the carpet in the room was quite old, stained and dusty - it needs replacement or deep cleaning. "Nice hotel. Huge room. The bathroom was bigger than the other Japan hotels we stayed at. All the staff we interacted with were fantastic. A bit of a language barrier but they tried their best to communicate. We got a really good rate for two days, included breakfast. Just so no one is caught off guard as I was, this is an adult hotel. "My husband and I visited Lake Shoji for the first time in January. It was a rainy day when we checked in so we could not see Fuji San, but the warm welcome we received made up for the lack of view, even before we checked in, a very very kind employee helped us back into our parking spot. "The shuttle bus was amazing - and actually a necessity because as per most places you can stay in Kawaguchiko, it is pretty deserted once you enter into the living areas. But overall it was value for money and I would definitely stay here again if the price is right."
