"I surprised my wife with a weekend trip to Monterey for our anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and even more, our stay at Abrego. The staff was the most professional, friendly, and accommodating group I've ever experienced. Being relegated to a wheelchair, the room was perfectly laid out for me to easily get to the entire room. "We really enjoyed our stay at Portola. It is centrally located to the wharf and downtown, super easy to park your car and walk everywhere. It’s a little bit of a walk to the aquarium but it’s a beautiful walk along the trail if you’re up for it. We loved the promenade right outside the lobby with a cafe, wine bar, bike rental shop, etc. which were super convenient. We would definitely stay at Portola again. "
