"First the great: This property is stunning architecturally and a joy to see. It is every bit as lovely as the pictures and more. I am a huge fan of good design (and have remodeled many homes) and enjoyed studying the home. Second, the not-so-great: The neighbors run a dog kennel next door. I love dogs and brought my two (the dog-friendliness was the sole reason for selecting Montara) but mine are trained. The neighbors keep dogs in a wire run mounted against the fence and EVERY time we stepped...

"We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and closeness to the beach and trails. Our family fit nicely. We enjoyed the birds in the trees and bushes and took many photos of the hummingbirds. However, the master bath did not have wash cloths or hand towels. And with 5 of us we had to wash dishes by hand every meal (hard to do with one dishtowel) so we had enough dishes for the next meal. We didn't use the dishwasher because each meal did not fill it. "

"Comfortable place in a great location. Loved being across the street from the beach. Had a lovely stay. Only down side was we discovered the refrigerator was not working. But we were only staying 1 night and host was very responsive so I would feel comfortable booking again and trusting host would take care of any concerns. when "
