"Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. "I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Cala Del Mar. I cannot wait to return. It was the most romantic and luxurious stay I could have ever imagined and I have traveled all of the world and stayed in some incredible places. We came for our honeymoon and everyone there made it so special. I don't think I have ever felt that relaxed in my entire life. The rooms, the private infinity pool, the food, drinks and special amenities were just stunning. The margaritas were INCREDIBLE....

"You will not find a friendlier or more welcoming staff. Such a beautiful, boutique hotel with clean rooms and facilities. We got upgraded to the Noyolytzi Suite from the Master Suite which was incredible. So clean, with two bedrooms and a big outdoor area in between, complete with a full kitchen and appliances, including a blender. We hadn't planned a single excursion (trying to keep things easy and stress free) but there's a very friendly man on site much of the time, Carlos, who helps you...
