Charming Creekside Cottage! Relax in nature yet only a short walk to town!

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (67)
"Walk out the door and turn right and you can walk a ¼ mile to the Deer Creek Tribute Trail, a lovely hike. Turn left out the door and you are an easy ½ mile walk from downtown Nevada City and all its restaurants and stores. I stayed for a week and walked everywhere, never moving my car. The property is cute, clean and comfortable. The screened porch is a peaceful spot to unwind, though I was here at the wrong time of year to enjoy it properly. I hope to be back in the spring. Betsy is a...

Modern Log Cabin on Cascade Canal, 5 minutes to Downtown Nevada City

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (22)
"The location near the Cascade Canal Trail and the proximity to town are two great reasons to stay, but the house is just so comfortable! Beautiful views from every window. Large, nicely designed and well appointed kitchen and each living area a place to mingle and share time with family and friends. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The owners thought of everything. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!!!"

Sierra Mountain Inn

2.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (462)
"The room was teeny tiny and not at all what the pictures looked like. It was old and needed more upgrades - especially in the bathroom. I accidentally left a pair of my shoes and called about it, but they said they couldn't find them. I have a hunch that the maid has a new pair of shoes. If said pair of shoes show up afterall, i will revise this part of my review. Also parking lot super small and hard to get in and out of. "

Northern Queen Inn

2.0 star property
6.6 out of 10, (1000)
"It is a lovely area and the two towns of Nevada city and grass Valley are so fun to visit. The three people that we met at the check-in desk were so kind and full of great idea ideas of where to eat in the area and how to get to the evening Christmas market. This is definitely a dog lovers hotel. Unfortunately, our room although spacious reeked of dog smells."

Grass Valley Courtyard Suites

3.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (676)
"Rooms were clean. Sofa bed mattress needs replacement. Queen beds were exceptionally comfortable!! Rooms were well equipped with towels and bedding - suite was cozy and my family loved being downtown! Hot breakfast was good, but facility lacked sufficient help to manage to keep up with the front desk, preparing food and keeping coffee pot full. Even just 2 staff members (they had one) would have helped manage the complimentary breakfast included in the stay. The single staff worker might have...

Stagecoach Motel

2.0 star property
4.0 out of 10, (63)
"We were greeted by an individual whose first words to us were you didn't pay enough but that is ok because your TV does not work. Then I was told that my amount owed was $30 less than what I already paid. When we went up to the room it was old, dirty not well kept, nor was it safe. The shower current was what appeared to be a Dollar Tree Liner (looked like a garbage bag) there were old tattered towels. The bed was awful, old lumps and when you laid on the bed you were literally hitting the...
