"My partner and I stayed here as a very belated birthday treat and the hotel was amazing from the moment it came in to view. Our room was in the main house and full of period grace and style. The bathroom was clean with a lovely bath and powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious, the largest buffet selection possible, it was all perfectly fresh and regularly being topped up. The grounds are stunning too. Lovely first floor bar open until 1am with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the last of...

"Stayed for work trip. I enjoyed my stay for the most part. The room was suitable for my needs, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful and the facilities look great. The service for the most part was lovely, apart from one encounter when I was confronted for being in the hotel in my work clothes (only part of my works clothes I was still wearing were hi-vis trousers, but clean and neat. In reception having just come in from the day). I don't mind this, if there's a way they'd like...

"What a LOVELY stay! Very professionally managed hotel with wonderful services, great food and super-friendly staff. After 3 days there, it was hard to leave and I don't feel that way very often about a hotel. We love historic properties and this one did not disappoint us. We'd go back again in a heartbeat! "

"This place is not ready for the public yet, the room is very dated, the windows are very old and damaged, the carpet was disgusting, the bed sheets were not changed from the previous visit. The shower was not comfortable either. The gym was good, and the staff seemed friendly, but the hotel needs a major uplift to justify the room rates they are charging"
