"Dont go by less number of reviews on Google Hokton jist took over the property year and a half ago and it has excellent customer service, buffet is really nice and wide spread and lots of fun activities for kods of each group .our toddler enjoyed the water ppol and other kids activities. "This was our first real vacation in 5 years and an 8-year late anniversary trip for ourselves. I booked it through Expedia and had a great experience. Itineraries were emailed separately with confirmations and everything went smoothly. I got this trip for about 1800 a person and have seen it gone up as high as about $2,400 during peak season. It was about a 40-minute drive from Cancun airport. The hotel is a fairly new Rio and is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are well maintained daily. The staff is super friendly and speaks very good English. Mostly the food and drink is decent and fresh and neither me or my husband got sick during the stay which was a plus. It is in Costa mujera so it is definitely out of the city so it's a more relaxed Vibe if that's what you're looking for, but we absolutely loved it. The beach is long, both North and South so you can have daily walks I booked a partial ocean view room and they upgraded us to a full ocean view which was very nice for our anniversary. Our room was a corner room, it was I think a bit bigger than usual. So very spacious and clean with no mold stains, dirt or bugs anywhere and are air-condition and fan worked perfectly the whole stay. You can walk to the pools in like 3 minutes from pretty much anywhere on the property and the Beach is another 2 minutes away. Overall we had an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for an all-inclusive adult only resort!"

"The property has one of the best beaches that I have visited and I have been to many. I visited the Asian, steak and Mexican restaurants and they were good. The buffets and coffee did not hit the spot. I think there should be a bar by the elite pool with more activities and the room we had was nice with views. I will come back and try other Riu Palace properties."
