"The staff were all nice and friendly. The front desk staff dis a great job in explaining everything I needed to know, the housekeepers smiled when you see them at the hallway, and the breakfast server was also super approachable. The room is clean and newly renovated. You won’t smell any earthy scent that is common in old hotels. Buffet breakfast was also great. "I stayed in the single room on main floor. Very tiny bathroom but functional. Would be tight with 2 people but good for 1. Only room for 1 vehicle so if multiple guests you’ll have to look for parking off site. "

"Hotel was undergoing renovations so they transferred my reservation to the St James Hotel at 26 Gerrard St E. This hotel was excellent. Would stay there again. Not sure about Econolodge. Hence the OK ratings."
