"Hotel was great if a little dated and in need of a little maintance. The room was clean and comfortable but thre were some chips in the bath enamel and a broken window pane in the historic window. Staff were great. Hotel met all my needs comfy and central"

"Stayed at The Pied Bull for 2 nights March 2025 & have stayed there a few years ago. Lovely hotel /pub with a warm comfortable atmosphere about it. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, good facilitates. Good hearty full English breakfast. The staff are great & very welcoming. Enjoyed their thursday night quiz too. Location is perfect as right in the heart of historic Chester. Its near lots of shops, bars, restaurants. Easy access to the walls around Chester too. I would highly recommend staying there. "

"Had an amazing night with my partner for her birthday. The room was impeccable as were all of the staff with whom we interacted with. The breakfast was phenomenal, have to say the best cooked breakfast I've ever had. The scrambled eggs are soo tasty. But yes, a very pleasant and enjoyable evening in a an amazing room. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning in the future."
