"The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!"

"Very pretty hotel, walking distance to all the Centro Historico area and basilica. Nice roof top views. Staff was very friendly and helpful including a tour to Cotopaxi which was Excellent. Never ate there, but available. Bed was a little stiff. Stairs to bathroom were a little narrow and could be tricky at night. Street noise a little loud. Arranged a transfer from airport on arrival and confirmed days before, was not present on arrival so I grabbed a taxi."
