"Beautiful colonial home that has been converted into a hotel. Most of the rooms are, generally, upscale and inclusive, but the dormitory-style rooms at the top are an excellent low-cost option! You receive fewer amenities and you share bathroom and shower facilities, but this is a familiar scenario to eco-travelers. "Very nice hostel. Great staff, very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was very slow but not uncommon from other places I've stayed. Hot showers with lots of pressure was very nice too."

"I had to be let in AND out every time I wanted to get out to explore. Always worried small staff wouldn't be around when I needed them. Staff member asked me for extra money twice. Toilet paper wasn't replaced when used up. Actual address doesn't exist as hostel - had to be taken around the block to real property, called Hostal Escosie (or something like that). Had to pay extra charge besides Expedia's charge. Good location but otherwise poor place to stay."

"I loved my stay at Casa Gardenia. Location was very convenient to restaurants. I felt safe walking at night to go out to dinner. The hotel was multi level and had a great view of the city on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was good with bread, fruits and eggs. Staff was very nice. I would stay here again. "
