"So, we were fully aware that Quito had power black outs. Our other accommodations told us times, patterns, things to be aware of so we were good. Staff here not so accommodating and they didn't say they had no generator. So 6pm came around and it was complete black out, not even in hallways etc. Had to go out for dinner by torch in not the most safe district. We're pretty confident and ok with the black outs, if we'd been told that the hostel had nothing. "

"This hotel is in the historic district and extremely well located however, on the first night we were put in a rather small room, the window which was the only source of ventilation was in the corridor so anyone walking by could look in. The next day our room was changed to a much larger and more comfortable room but this one faced the busy road so we heard all the traffic going by until late at night. CNt beat the location however"

"Been here a few times . Great staff and friendly owners. The best view of Quito you can find. Cute hotel in a quaint area of town. Everything you want to do is only blocks away. The new metro in three blocks from the hotel and fantastic. Need anything just ask the owners they are always around and extremely helpful and speak perfect English. If I had one complaint it’s that for us low landers it’s even higher then old town Quito and can make altitude issues for some of us pretty tough. I would...
