"The Casa Gangotena was perfection! The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was gracious and attentive. We stayed in a very comfortable, large room with a spectacular view of the Plaza de San Francisco. We enjoyed breakfast and a wonderful dinner at the hotel and loved that the menu included local cuisine. Plus, the prices were reasonable - we would have easily paid twice as much at home for a meal of the same caliber. You also shouldn't miss a late afternoon cocktail on the rooftop!"

"We had an amazing time in Quito staying at the hotel. Lovely building with interesting furniture and art. Bedroom was comfortable and extremely clean. Lovely bed, excellent views . Shower was hot and hotel provided us with a heater when it got chilly. David the manager and he's partner pierrina are very helpful. We were met at the airport by pierrina, the transfer was easy. "I loved my stay at Casa Gardenia. Location was very convenient to restaurants. I felt safe walking at night to go out to dinner. The hotel was multi level and had a great view of the city on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was good with bread, fruits and eggs. Staff was very nice. I would stay here again. "

"I spent 1 night at this hotel before the start of my trip. It's in a good location in the historic centre next to the church and around the corner is a street filled with bars and restaurants that comes alive at night. My room was small but comfortable with a good sized bathroom with lots of hot water. There was also a TV in my room .I would definitely stay again. I missed the free breakfast cause my tour started so early the next morning. This hotel also has free wifi."

"Chose this hotel because it advertised 24 hr check in and appeared to have a fully functional bathroom. Arrived middle of the day and had to wait nearly an hour ringing the bell and having the cab driver call the posted number before getting in. No hot water and was charged twice. The staff was nice once present. Just not what I expected as the first stop after flying."
