"Check in was easy, bedrooms a good size and very comfortable beds. Heated towel rail & extractor not working. Tea & coffee facilities and a room safe. Cleaning staff could be a little more attentive during the stay. Food is very good quality and very well cooked, delightful dining room staff, thanks to Rory, Alex & Beth. Will return in the future to this ancient castle complete with peacocks!"

The only thing we were disappointed with was that the sauna wasn't in operation but everything else was great and as described. We travelled to Chester by train and found the public transport and taxis very reasonably priced with the local buses stopping almost outside of the hotel drive.
