"The rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. We were a short walk from the train station and also a nice walk to the Matsumoto Castle. The only negative experience was the free breakfast which was styrofoam dinner trays, individually wrapped croissants and a Japanese style breakfast which we did not find appetising. We did not participate and ate elsewhere."

"We only stayed here for one night. The location was super convenient. We didn't use the amenities much and didn't have breakfast at the hotel either. The room was super small. We managed as we had only a carry-on with us. Tall people or people with luggage might've found the room inadequate. Staff was very helpful, check-in and check-out were smooth and quick. Nothing to complain about! "

"MY ROOM WAS SMALL, BUT IT WAD OK FOR ONE NIGHT IN MATSUMOTO. EVERYTHING WAS MAINTAINED WELL BUT NEEDS UPDATE. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND POLITE. BREAKFAST WAS MEDIOCRE BUT WE PAID VERY LOW RATE SO COULD NOT EXPECT GOURME FOOD. WE RECOMMENDED THIS HOTEL."

"We spent two nights at this hotel in a Japanese style room. We found the room comfortable and spacious. I very much enjoyed the public bath in the hotel and visited AM and PM for a relaxing soak. The hotel is a quirky mix of modern and traditional and we appreciated this.We had a wonderful breakfast buffet each morning in the hotel restaurant and the staff was always gelpful and kind. "We stayed at this hotel for seven nights during our Nagano ski trip in late January 2025. The location was convenient, the rooms were comfortable, and parking costs $10 per night. Be sure to move your car before 11 AM and park after 3 PM, as spaces fill up quickly in the afternoon. The hotel has a microwave in the lobby and a Lawson store right downstairs. We’ll definitely stay here again for our next ski trip!"

"Clean, quiet, and convenient location. Most importantly, the quality of bed is amazing. I always suffer from bad jet lag for at least first few days after arriving from east coast (US), this is a first night I was able to sleep straight for 7 hours! The room was more spacious than one in Tokyo where I spent before coming to Matsumoto. Free delicious Japanese style breakfast which I am very happy with. Certainly it worths the price. The only problem I had was the room was not available until 4 pm. I had to change my clothes in the rest room and missed one hour nap. Nevertheless, I liked this place and will be back again when I am visiting Matsumoto next time."
